Aspire Travel Agent of the Year 2018

Hello!

My name is Sarah and I’m a Personal Travel Advisor for Triangle Travel (based in Berkshire and Oxfordshire).  I work from my home in Bicester, Oxfordshire enabling me to offer complete flexibility in working hours to suit each individual customer.

Working for an Independent company like Triangle Travel gives me access to a diverse and varied choice of tour operators enabling me to sell practically anything from a UK coach tour or a family beach holiday to a luxury long-haul touring holiday or cruise.  The most important thing for me is providing customers with the right holiday to suit their personal requirements, travel needs and budget.

I’ve been working for Triangle Travel for the past three and a half years. Prior to this I worked for Tui, or Thomson/Lunn Poly, as it was previously named when I started 26 years ago.  I’ve always loved working in the travel industry, although 2018 has certainly been a highlight as I was awarded Aspire Homeworker of the Year at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards.

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to visit many different destinations both on holiday and with work.  My own holidays have changed with my personal circumstances; when I was younger I enjoyed holidays to Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and the Caribbean.  Now that I have 2 teenage sons my holidays tend to be more active.  One of my ultimate family destinations is Orlando, Florida as there is so much to do with all the different theme parks and waterparks.  I also enjoy skiing and have visited a variety of ski resorts in Austria and Colorado.  Last summer we opted for a more traditional beach holiday to Puerto Pollensa in Majorca which is a beautiful island with amazing sandy beaches and plenty to do for all ages.

In 2017 I travelled, with a group of travel agents to New York, Pennsylvania & Philadelphia on a coach tour.  It was a very varied itinerary ranging from the ‘full on’ city of New York to traditional Amish Farming country and the U.S. battlefields of Gettysburg.  Having never been on a coach touring holiday before I was a little apprehensive but found it a wonderful experience which I’d definitely recommend for those wanting to see a variety of destinations in a short space of time with the security of travelling with a group and tour guide.
